The foundation of Heidi’s work stems from the venerable tradition of Canadian Landscape Painting. The delights of plein-air painting results in images reflecting the grand landforms, the endless variety of textures and colours of the vast North American wilderness.

More recently Heidi has found enchantment in the lush tropical vegetation of her new winter home in Florida.

Heidi makes art in watercolour, oil, relief printmaking and ceramics.

This versatility has served her well in over 40 years of teaching. Heidi has been a missionary for good design and skills training in her role as an award winning high school teacher in Toronto.

She continues in her enthusiastic promotion of art for all by hosting summer art camp for adults at Oak Island in beautiful Georgian Bay for a week every August.

Road tripping around Canada and the USA, has inspired canvasses from 9” x 12” to 4’ x 7’.

Her large scale paintings have been acquired by the Government of Ontario, the Toronto Board of Education, corporate and private collectors.

Heidi is an elected member of the OSA, the CSPWC and the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto.
